The HR Panel includes Irish HR leaders from Hubspot, AIB and more to share with us how we can prepare ourselves to manage the future workforce. They will be discussing the importance of HR in organisations, for an optimised leadership team and to drive the business strategy.

Vivienne Fay

Vivienne is a Work and Organisational Behavioural Specialist with 20 years’ experience at a senior management level within the public Health Service, at both service delivery and corporate level, including nursing, operations and HR. She is passionate about the importance of effective people management and set up Irwin HR to provide advice, expertise and training to SME’s on HR and people management issues. She has experience managing large work forces, multidisciplinary teams, employee relations, recruitment, restructuring, managing change and performance management. She is an accredited executive coach and mediator. Her extensive education and practical experience allow her to support individuals and organisations to respond appropriately and to achieve better results through building positive change.

Pedro Angulo

Pedro Angulo is Head of Leadership Development in AIB where he leads the design and implementation of enterprise-wide leadership development initiatives. He is also a Programme Director of the Diploma in Strategic HRM at the IMI (Irish Management Institute, Board Member of Green Sod Ireland and member of the HRD UK advisory Board.

Pedro is passionate about creating more human, purpose led and customer-centric workplaces where HR plays a vital role in embedding a culture, values, talent practices, and organisational models, processes and systems to ensure authentic ‘customer delight’.

He leverages his 10+ years’ leadership experience in Fortune 100 & 500 companies (PwC, IBM, Deloitte) and in UK and Irish-based consultancies (Penna, Prospectus, Angulo Consulting), as well as his 7+ years part-time lecturing at the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at UCD.

Eamonn Eaton

Eamonn is an internationally recognised Learning and Development thought leader with a passion for development and lifelong learning. He has a wealth of experience working in the area of Learning and Development including being the Head of Group Learning & Engament for 38 years in Bank of Ireland.

Marina Meehan

Marina is a highly qualified and very experienced Human Resources professional, with depth and breadth of experience in all aspects of human resource management -operational, strategic, transformation including talent and learning for sustainability.

She has held senior partner, manager, consultant and organisational development roles working for Bus Éireann, Glen Dimplex, Standard Life, Fujitsu Ireland, Vodafone, Green Isle Foods and Coca Cola. She has provided consultancy to the senior teams in Dublin Airport Authority, Dublin Port; Lidl and Merck, Sharpe and Dome. In the charity sector she has worked as a consultant or seconded consultant with The Dublin Simon Community, Self Help Africa and St Vincent de Paul.

Catherine Smith

Catherine Smith McKiernan is a people and organisational consultant and has built a career around enabling people to embrace change and transformation. A leader who values curiosity, collaboration, innovation and trust Catherine brings unique perspectives gained from her experience across the public, private and not for profit sectors organisations.
Catherine understands how empowering the untapped potential of people through playing to everyone’s strengths can change the trajectory of a business. Using real-world examples, Catherine sheds light on how the invaluable talent each person brings to an organisation can drive innovation and growth.

A firm believer in learning from experience and cultural fit Catherine has seen first-hand that without the right people and the right leadership a business will never fulfil its potential. Not afraid to challenge the status quo or to try new things Catherine is currently fulfilling a lifelong ambition to share the stories of our Irish Diaspora in her role as Group HR Director with EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum.

An experienced board member and HR Director, Catherine’s work covers all aspects of organisational development including governance, strategic planning, project management, facilitation, training and communications.

Beth Maguire

Beth is passionate about unlocking people's full potential to maximise their performance, success, happiness and wellbeing. L&D professional and part-time Neuroscience/Results coach.

Specializing in people development, coaching, behaviour change, systemic change management, Learning & Development, strategy development, project management (Certified ScrumMaster® and PRINCE2 certified) and organisational development. Worked with a variety of clients across the FTSE 100 in a multitude of sectors such as Financial Services, Public Service, Retail, Telecommunications and FMCG.
